Works created using acacia resin imprint technology. This technique is also known as gummidruck from German, or dichromate print from English. Since one of the components of this technology, along with ammonium dichromate and various pigments, is gum arabic (acacia resin), I have taken the liberty to introduce this name for the technology. This is for clarity, as gummidruck has nothing to do with rubber.
The use of alternative technologies, aside from being incredibly interesting, allows the photographic image to be brought closer to graphic art. This is because one of the fundamental principles of graphic work is followed: the progression from matrix to original. Photography then acquires new, often unpredictable nuances in appearance, distancing itself from the essence of an infinitely reproducible, perfection-burdened medium.
